Quick Launch bar if you like and you do not see it or have it removed by mistake, you can get it back. For that click on any blank space on the taskbar and click Toolbars from the New Toolbar. It opens in appellate type:

• % userprofile% \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Quick Launch

And 'select folder, click on. Quick Launch bar will revert.
